In the year of 387 in Scotland lived a young folk named Maewyin Succat, when he was 16 years old he became prisoner   of Irish prisoner and the sold him like a slave on a island. In there he learned the language.

After 6 years of being a slave he recovered his freedom and he went to France, he turned into a priest, the people called him Patricio, and he returned to the place where he had been a slave to predicate the evangelist.

St. Patricio used a clover to illustrate to the village the Holy Trinity, and he died in March 17, 493.  Now the feast is celebrate to remember the pious priest and not like a religious celebration.
